Concrete Driveways

Craig Dolden (aka Jack) founded Jax Concrete Driveways in Sydney (2001)  after almost a decade working in the concreting industry.

This company had all of the right attributes. It was professional and focused on providing the best possible quality driveways for new homes. Jack recognised the need in the existing market for a specialist decorative concrete contractor that would complete a client’s driveway meeting the exacting quality expectations the client had of their new home.

As a result of this philosophy Jax Concrete Driveways strives to implement the values, culture and efficient business practices necessary to make the brand synonymous with unparalleled quality and service in new home driveways in and around Sydney.

In keeping with this vision, our team members are passionate and motivated about our service and providing the best possible driveway to suit your home.

Each team member understands that building a new home is an emotional process and will do their best to make this final stage of your new home’s construction an easy one.

Stencil Concrete Driveways

Stencil concrete driveways add beauty to your living environment and add value to your home. Stencil concrete driveways combines the unbeatable durability of concrete with the distinctive architectural appeal of traditional brick or stone pavers. Stencil concrete is stylish, strong and incredibly versatile.

Stencil concrete is ideal for pool surrounds and enhancing your outdoor landscape as it is versatile and adds beauty to your living environment. You can also put a colour through the concrete and place your stencil pattern on top to give you a more natural look which blends in with your surrounds.

Stamped Concrete driveways

Stamped concrete driveways have an attractive two-toned appearance by combining colours. If you use a base colour and use a different colour release agent then you can achieve a look which emulates slate or even stone adding to the aesthetic apperance of your home. The base colour in most cases should be lighter than the release agent, so the two toned look is more prominent.

Choose from a wide selection of contemporary and traditional patterns combined with a comprehensive range of colours to add living dimension to your newly placed driveways, carports, entertainment areas, pool surrounds, patios, paths and other pavement areas.

Things to consider when choosing colours and patterns

Consideration to the home’s natural environment.( eg. bush, urban, beach.) Colour schemes should generally blend in with the natural surrounds. Consider your existing substrates for example colours of bricks, roofing, guttering, windows, fencing, garrage doors, pools and tiling. Think about the features of your home and what it is you you would like highlighted. Other considerations are position or direction in which the home faces, north facing will have strong sunlight throughout the day, south facing will be dimly lit. Remember that colours under direct sunlight will always appear lighter. Don’t be afraid to choose darker tones on your exterior. Similarly colours which are high in chroma will appear brighter. Exterior schemes are usualy greyed down.

Whether you are using colorbond steel colours in your garage doors, framing, roof tiles, or fencing, it’s important to compliment your driveway colour to that scheme.
